Hubballi Airport has successfully commenced both Inbound and Outbound Cargo services through the existing terminal. At present, the Cargo shipments are being handled from the existing terminal as time being arrangement until the Dedicated Air Cargo terminal is inaugurated.
A dedicated Cargo terminal was in demand for a long time as businessmen from the North Karnataka region used to ship their cargo either from Goa or Bengaluru Airports. The Cargo terminal at Hubballi will greatly help the business community of the North Karnataka region as it saves them both time and money.
The Dedicated Cargo Complex at the Old terminal of Hubballi Airport is getting ready and expected to start operations by April 2021. The final inspection of the Cargo terminal by the Regional Director, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has been scheduled on the 17th of March,2021. IndiGo, Air India, and Star Air have come forward to offer Cargo services from Hubballi Airport. AAI officials have requested Customers and Freight Forwarders to utilize the services.
