Bhoomi Pooja for Jayadeva Hospital at Hubballi today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform Bhoomi Pooja (Foundation stone laying ceremony) for the Construction of Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Hospital at Hubballi.

The Foundation stone laying ceremony (Bhoomi Pooja) will take place from the IIT Dharwad inauguration event at Dharwad at 2 PM.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai had announced Jayadeva Hospital of Cardiovascular Sciences to Hubballi during the Karnataka Budget session for the year of 2022-23.

The hospital will be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹250 Crores, fully funded by the Government of Karnataka. It will spread over 11 Acre 36 guntas in Rayanal village of Hubballi Taluk.

The hospital will be planned to serve 300 Beds at a time. It will include 41 Emergency ICU beds, 3 Major Operation Theatres, 16 Bed Pre and Post Cath Lab, 20 Recovery Beds, and CSSD.

Apart from it, the hospital will include amenities like Blood Bank, Pharamacy, Blood Sample collection, Laboratory and an Auditorium of 216 person capacity will be built.

Jayadeva Hospital already has 1150 bed facility in Bengaluru. The hospital also has its presence in Kalaburgi and Mysuru with a bed capacity of 350 and 400 respectively.

Until now, the Northwest part of Karnataka was deprived of good cardiovascular healthcare facilities. The Hubballi unit of Jayadeva Hospital is likely to fill the gap.

The hospital is likely to cater to many districts of North Karnataka including Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Belagavi, Uttara Kannada, Vijayapura, and Bagalkot.

Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Hospital is a government-run institute exclusively for Cardiac care providing treatment at an affordable cost.
