RoB at Kalyan Nagar, Dharwad is getting ready

To enhance the safety of road users and to minimize traffic congestion, South Western Railways (SWR) is constructing a Road Over Bridge (RoB) at Kalyan Nagar, Dharwad.

The much-needed RoB is showing signs of progress, as the Construction of pillars is nearing completion. The RoB is coming up in lieu of Level crossing number 297.

RoB at Kalyan Nagar was a long pending demand from Dharwad citizens. Frequent gate closures used to increase the traffic congestion causing inconvenience to the road users.

The estimated cost of construction of the project is ₹ 13.79 Crores. The construction of the RoB is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.

Union Minister and Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi had performed Bhoomi Pooja for the RoB back in September 2021.

Dharwad Railway Station has been recently renovated at a cost of ₹20 Crores. A Vertical Garden has been developed at the entrance of the Railway Station.
