Here is some good news for flyers using Hubballi Airport. IndiGo has decided to increase the frequency of a few flights from Hubballi Airport effective from March 1st.
Frequency of flights to Chennai, Kannur, Mumbai, and Bengaluru have been increased to Daily. The mentioned flights were operating 4 times/week in February month.
IndiGo has also added an additional flight to Bengaluru effective from March 1st. The additional night flight to Bengaluru will definitely help international travellers from Hubballi.

Bengaluru (Additional flight): 6E 7162 departs Bengaluru at 6:05 PM, and reaches Hubballi at 7:40 PM. In the return direction, 6E 7161 departs Hubballi at 8:15 PM and reaches Bengaluru at 9:35 PM.
Bengaluru sector: 6E 7227 departs Bengaluru at 6:05 AM and reaches Hubballi at 7:30 AM. In the return direction, 6E 7233 departs Hubballi at 11:10 AM and reaches Bengaluru at 12:30 PM.
Chennai sector: 6E 7084 departs Chennai at 5:15 AM and reaches Hubballi at 7:05 AM. In the return direction, 6E 7083 departs Hubballi at 5:15 PM and reaches Chennai at 7:05 PM.
Mumbai sector: 6E 7291 departs Hubballi at 12:10 PM and reaches Mumbai at 1:45 PM. In the return direction, 6E 7292 departs Mumbai at 3:15 PM and reaches Hubballi at 4:55 PM.
Kannur sector: 6E 7981 departs Hubballi at 7:50 AM and reaches Kannur at 9:10 AM. In the return direction, 6E 7979 departs Mumbai at 9:30 AM and reaches Hubballi at 10:50 AM.
However, IndiGo is yet to reinstate Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Goa flights from Hubballi Airport. Many travellers from Hubballi have requested IndiGo to start Ahmedabad flight from HBX.
Please start flights from hubli to Ahmedabad and Udaipur and Jodhpur

I suggest…there should be daily flight from Hubli to Mangalore as lot of people travel to coastal karnataka on daily basis.Since there is no direct train service,I am sure it will get good response.

Compared to Belgaum, Hubli is lagging way too behind in terms of air connectivity.
There are many sectors Belgaum is catering to, but very few from Hubli which is considered as commercial capital of North Karnataka
