Redevelopment of Glass House in full swing

The Redevelopment of Indira Gandhi Glass House (Mahatma Gandhi Park), the biggest lung space in Hubballi city is in full swing and the works are expected to be completed soon.

Hubballi Dharwad Smart City Limited (HDSCL) has undertaken the task of redevelopment of Glass House at an estimated cost of ₹12.04 Crores.

The redeveloped MG Park will have a Better landscape, redeveloped Amphitheatre, and a revamped Musical Fountain which will portray the history of Rani Chennamma, Sangolli Rayanna, and other heroes of North Karnataka.

MG Park will also get a brand new Toy train that resembles the Bullet train. Around ₹4.67 Crores will be spent on renovating the Musical Fountain and the Toy Train.

Pune based CC engineers have got the contract to set up Toy Train at Glass House. The train will have 4 Bogies and all of them will be fully air-conditioned. The prototype of the toy train is being circulated on social media.

MG Park has also got a Puzzle Parking facility which is said to be the first of its kind in Karnataka. The 5 level facility will have parking facilities for 37 cars. It is likely to be opened soon.
