Railway Minister flags off Hubballi Delhi Superfast train

Minister of Railways, Communication, Electronics and Information Technology Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw flagged off Hubballi to Delhi (Hazrat Nizamuddin) Superfast express train yesterday.

The minister flagged off the train at a function held at the 3rd entrance of the Hubballi Railway Station. The train will be a weekly train as of now, and the frequency is likely to be increased based on demand.

The first run of the train (Inaugural special) ran till Bijapur with open timings. The train stopped at Gadag, Badami, Bagalkot, and Basavana Bagewadi Road railway stations.

The regular service of Train Number 20657 Hubballi – Hazarat Nizamuddin (Delhi) and 20658 Hazarat Nizamuddin – Hubballi will start from 14th and 16th October respectively.

Train number 20657 Hubballi – Hazarat Nizamuddin (Delhi) Superfast express leaves Hubballi at 11:50 PM on Friday night and reaches Hazarat Nizamuddin at 10:40 AM on Sunday.

En route, the train stops at Gadag, Badami, Bagalkot, Basavana Bagewadi Road, Bijapur, Solapur, Kurduvadi, Daund, Ahmednagar, Manmad, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Rani Kamalapati (Habibganj), Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Gwalior, Agra Cantonment, and finally reaches Hazarat Nizamuddin Railway Station at Delhi.

Train number 20658 Hazarat Nizamuddin – Hubballi Superfast express leaves Hazarat Nizamuddin at 3:55 PM on Sunday and reaches Hubballi Railway Station at 4:00 AM on Tuesday.

The primary maintenance of the train will be undertaken at Hubballi and Secondary maintenance of the train will be carried out at Hazarat Nizamuddin. The stoppages will remain the same.

Bookings for the same train have already opened on the IRCTC platform. The train will have a composition of 22 coaches of Linke Hofmann Bosch (LHB) type.

The exact composition of the train is as follows: One AC 1-Tier coach, Two AC 2-Tier coaches, Three AC 3-Tier coaches, 10 Sleeper coaches, and 2 second-class coaches.

Apart from it, it will have 2 Luggage/Generator/Brake vans. One AC Pantry/Hot buffet coach and One Parcel van will be added in due course as advised.

The train will run with Diesel traction from Hubballi to Solapur and AC traction from Solapur to Hazarat Nizamuddin. It is likely to run on end-to-end Electric traction from 1st, April 2023.
