Karnataka Unlock guidelines: State Executive Committee has issued revised guidelines to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission. The situation in the State has been reviewed and it is observed that the strict implementation of the Lockdown has led to a declining trend in the number of new cases and Positivity rate across the State.

The health experts have suggested that the opening of Economic and other activities be allowed in a graded manner. Existing lockdown guidelines will continue in districts having High Positivity Rates, viz, Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, Davanagere, Mysuru, Chamarajanagara, Hassan, Dakshina Kannada, Bengaluru Rural, Mandya, Belagavi, and Kodagu districts.

In other districts in the state, Certain additional activities (relaxations) mentioned below are permitted. The relaxations will come into effect from 6 AM on 14th June and will be in force up to 6 AM on 21st June.

All Production units/Establishment/Industries are permitted to function with 50% of their staff strength strictly adhering to COVID appropriate behavior. However, production units/establishments/industries engaged in Garment manufacturing are permitted to function with 30% of their staff strength strictly adhering to COVID appropriate behavior.

Shops dealing with Food, Groceries, Fruits and Vegetables, Meat and Fish, Dairy and Milk booths, and Animal fodder will be allowed to function from 6 AM to 2 PM. Street vendors are allowed to function from 6 AM to 2 PM. Ration shops are allowed from 6 AM to 2 PM.

Standalone Liquor shops and outlets are allowed to function Takeaway only from 6 AM to 2 PM. Home delivery of all items will be encouraged 24×7 to minimize the movement of individuals outside their homes.

All Construction activities/Repair works including Shops/Establishments dealing with Construction material, especially Cement and Steel are permitted outside containment zones.

Following Government offices are permitted to function with 50% of their staff: Agriculture and Allied offices, PWD, Housing, RTO, NABARD and Offices of Revenue department, Government of India.

Skill training pertaining to Health Sector is permitted. Optical shops are permitted to function from 6 AM to 2 PM. Night Curfew will be imposed from 7 PM to 5 AM and the Weekend Curfew will be imposed from Friday 7 PM to Monday 5 AM as per the guidelines.

Karnataka Unlock: Guidelines for Night Curfew

The movement of individuals shall remain strictly prohibited between 7 PM to 5 AM, except for essential activities. Patients and their Attendants/Persons requiring the Emergency need for movement shall be allowed to move.

All Industries/Companies which require operations at night shall be permitted to operate. Movement of employees of such organizations shall be allowed on producing valid ID card/Authorization issued by their respective Organization/Institution.

Employees and vehicles of Telecom and Internet Service providers shall be allowed movement on producing valid ID cards issued by their respective organization/institution. Only Essential staff/Employees of IT companies /organizations shall work from office, Rest will work from home.

Medical, Emergency and Essential services including Pharmacies will be fully functional and Other commercial activities are prohibited.

There shall be no restriction in the movement of all types of Goods through Trucks, Goods vehicles, or any goods carriers, including empty vehicles. Home delivery of goods and operations of E-Commerce companies are allowed.

Movement of Trains and Air travel is permitted. Movement of Public Transport, Private vehicles, and Taxis to and from Airports, Railway stations and Bus terminals/Stops/Stands are allowed, for facilitating the movement of Passengers by Air, Rail travel only. The movement will be allowed only on displaying valid Travel documents/Tickets.

Guidelines for Weekend Curfew

Marriages already scheduled are permitted to be conducted at their respective home in a low-key manner. Family relatives up to 40 people are allowed to attend strictly adhering to the guidelines. Cremation or Funerals to be allowed strictly adhering to COVID Appropriate Behavior with a maximum of 5 people.

All State and Central Government offices and their Autonomous Bodies, Corporations, etc, dealing with Emergency, Essential services, and Covid-19 Containment and Management duties shall be fully functional and officers personnel of the same shall be allowed unrestricted movement as per Karnataka Unlock guidelines.

All Industries/Companies/Organizations dealing with emergency and essential services and requiring operations 24/7 shall be permitted to operate. Movement of employees of such organizations shall be allowed on producing valid ID cards issued by their respective Organization Institution. However, to the extent possible, employees should be encouraged to work from home.

Patients and their Attendants/Persons requiring emergency need and Eligible people intending to take Vaccination will be allowed to move with minimal proof. Restaurant and Eateries shall be allowed only for Takeaway and Home delivery.
