Karnataka Unlock 2.0: Guidelines for Dharwad district

Karnataka Unlock 2.0 update: The Karnataka Government has announced new Unlock Guidelines that will be effective from June 21st, 6 AM. CM BS Yediyurappa chaired a meeting with DCM Ashwathnarayan CN, Health Minister Sudhakar K, and senior officials of the Health Department to draft the new guidelines.

As per new guidelines, Night Curfew from 7 PM to 5 AM and weekend curfew from Friday from 7 PM to Monday 5 AM will continue to be imposed across the state. Buses will be permitted to operate with 50% of the seating capacity, strictly adhering to COVID appropriate behavior. No travel by standing will be allowed.

‘As far as Dharwad district is concerned, the average Positivity rate for the week was 4.15%. District In-charge Minister Shri Jagadish Shettar has called a meeting with DC Shri Nitesh Patil to discuss on the matter and inform the Government about the Positivity Rate’ stated the District Health Department in a press release.

Karnataka Unlock 2.0 Guidelines: For districts having 5%+ Positivity Rate

For districts having a Positivity Rate greater than 5%, viz, Hassan, Udupi, Dakshina Kananda, Shivamogga, Chamarajanagara, Chikkamagaluru, Bengaluru Rural, Davanagere, Kodagu, Dharwad, Ballari, Chitradurga and Vijayapura the revised guidelines to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission are as follows:

All Production units/Establishment/Industries are permitted to function with 50% of their staff strength strictly adhering to COVID Appropriate behavior. However, production Units/ Establishments/ Industries engaged in Garment manufacturing are permitted to function with 30% of their staff strength only.

Shops dealing with Food, Groceries, Fruits and Vegetables, Meat and Fish, Dairy and Milk booths, and Animal fodder shall be allowed to function from 6 am to 2 pm. Street vendors are allowed to function from 6 AM to 2 PM.

Public Distribution System shops are allowed from 6 AM to 2 PM. Standalone liquor shops and outlets are allowed to open for takeaway only from 6 AM to 2 PM. Home delivery of all items shall be encouraged 24×7 to minimize the movement of individuals outside their homes.

All Construction activities/repair works including Shops/ Establishments dealing with construction material dealing with Cement and Steel permitted outside containment zone adhering to COVID appropriate behavior.

Parks are permitted to open from 5 AM to 10 AM for Walking and Jogging purpose strictly adhering to COVID appropriate behavior, but no group activities will be permitted. Taxis and Auto-rickshaws are permitted to operate and can carry a maximum of 2 passengers only.

In addition to already operating Government offices, the following Government offices are also permitted to function with 50% of their staff: Agriculture and allied offices, PWD, Housing, RTOs, Co-operation, NABARD, and offices of Department of Revenue, Government of India.

Skill training pertaining to Health Sector, including Solid Waste Management are permitted. Optical shops are permitted to function from 6 AM to 2 PM.
