There is some good news for cinephiles of Dharwad. The wait is finally over! Inox Movies, one of the most popular Multiplex chains in India is going to open a Multiplex in Dharwad tomorrow (10th September 2023).
Inox is going to be the first Multiplex in Dharwad city. The multiplex is coming up at Smart City Mall near the Toll Naka bus stop, adjacent to the Hubballi Dharwad BRTS corridor.
The multiplex at Dharwad is going to be a 4-screen multiplex. Bookings are already open for movies at the Dharwad location from tomorrow. The details are as follows.
Inox multiplex at Dharwad will offer movies in 3 different seating options i.e. Executive, Club and Royal Recliner. Not all the screens have the Royal Recliner seating option.
Bookings are open for 4 movies at the Dharwad location from tomorrow (10th September 2023). They are as follows: Saptha Sagaradache Ello, Jawan, Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty and The Nun 2.
One screen in the Inox multiplex, Dharwad is equipped with Dolby Atmos. According to Inox “Dolby Atmos transports you into the movies with breathtaking, multidimensional sound that fills the theatre and flows all around you to move your mind, body, and soul”.
About Smart City Mall, Dharwad: Smart City Mall at Dharwad is the first Mall in Dharwad city. Reliance Smart Point opened its doors to customers last week in the mall.
People of Dharwad have welcomed the addition of a Multiplex at Dharwad. Earlier, Dharwad people were forced to visit Hubballi to enjoy movies in Multiplex.
As of now, Hubballi has 2 Multiplex operated by Cinepolis and PVR. Cinepolis is present at Urban Oasis Mall on Gokul Road and PVR at Lakshmi Pride Mall on Coen Road.
Hubballi is going to get its second PVR multiplex at Akshay Sky Mall on Gokul Road. Sathyam Cinemas another Multiplex chain will enter Hubballi with a 5-screen multiplex at One Hubballi Mall.

History of Inox: Based in Mumbai, Inox commenced operations by opening its first 4-screen multiplex at Pune and another 4-screen multiplex at Vadodara in 2002.

Inox was speculated to enter Hubballi by opening a Multiplex at Urban Oasis Mall. However, it didn’t materialize and Cinepolis utilized the opportunity by opening a 5-screen multiplex.
