Hubballi to host India-A vs New Zealand-A Cricket Match

There is some good news for the Cricket enthusiasts of Hubballi Dharwad. Hubballi will host India-A vs New Zealand-A International Test cricket match starting from Tomorrow (Sep 8th).

Yes, that’s right! KSCA Stadium at Rajnagar, Hubballi will host a 4-day International Test cricket match starting from September 8th (Thursday) till 11th September 2022 (Sunday).

Priyank Panchal will lead the India A team whereas Robert O’Donnell will lead the New Zealand-A team. Probable Playing 11 for both the teams are as follows.

India-A: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Priyank Panchal (c), Srikar Bharat (wk), Sarfaraz Khan, Rajat Patidar, Tilak Varma, Arzan Nagwaswalla, Kuldeep Yadav, Yash Dayal, and Mukesh Kumar.

New Zealand-A: Chad Bowes, Joe Carter, Mark Chapman, Cam Fletcher (wk), Rachin Ravindra, Sean Solia, Michael Rippon, Robert O’Donnell (c), Logan van Beek, Jacob Duffy, and Joe Walker.

It is not the first time that KSCA Cricket Stadium in Hubballi is hosting an International Cricket Match. Hubballi has already hosted 8 International cricket matches in the past.

KSCA Stadium, Hubballi has been a host to India A vs West Indies A test match in 2013, India A Women vs Bangladesh A Women 3 ODI in 2017 & India A vs Sri Lanka A (1 Test and 3 ODI) in 2019.

New Zealand-A team is on a month-long tour to India. India A and New Zealand will play 3 unofficial test matches and 3 unofficial One day International matches till September 27th.

The first and third tests will be played at Bengaluru, while Hubballi will host the Second test match (Sep 8-Sep 11). MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai will host 3 One Day International matches.
