‘To boost tourism activities in the North Karnataka region, a Heliport will be established in Hubballi‘ said Pankajkumar Pandey the Secretary of State Tourism Department. He also said that they are planning to encourage Heritage Homestay in the Dharwad district to attract tourists.
Pankaj Kumar said that the Heliport at Hubballi will help to increase the footfall of tourists at various tourist places of North Karnataka and Kalyana Karnataka region. Hubballi Airport is well connected with all major metros of India. By establishing a heliport at Hubballi, tourists can get a convenient connection to major tourist attractions.
Karnataka Government is planning to constitute ‘Karnataka Tourism Society’ to develop all tourist attractions and make them popular. Providing basic facilities at all tourist places will be considered on priority.
Pankajkumar Pandey presided over a meeting at the DC office to discuss the progress of Tourism activities in the Dharwad district. HDMC Commissioner Dr. Suresh Itnal, Dharwad DC Nitesh Patil, Assistant Commissioner Dr. Gopalkrishna B, Dharwad Tahsildar Dr. Santosh Biradar, and other officers were present.
