Barring few minor works here and there, Hubballi Dharwad Smart City Limited(HDSCL)’s first Smart Road is almost ready. HDSCL is developing Smart Roads in few areas of Hubballi under 6 Packages. It had initiated Special Purpose Vehicle(SPV) to develop Smart Roads.
Under Package 4 of the Smart Street Scape and Junction Improvement project, HDSCL had decided to construct Smart Road around MT Sagar Industrial area from Gate 1 and Gate 2 to Tatwadharsha Hospital.
At present Concreting of Road, LED Streetlights, Footpath and Underground duct works have been completed. Lane marking and Cleaning works are pending in few areas.
The constructed Smart Road has underground ducts for Utility Pipelines and Electric cables, Underground Drainage system, Wide Footpaths, LED streetlights. Many of the Smart City Projects under HDSCL are progressing well and are expected to be completed soon.
