Dharwad Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express, a hit among working class

Recently introduced Vande Bharat Express between Bengaluru and Dharwad via Davanagere and Hubballi has been a huge hit among the Youth and Working class.

Train number 20662 Dharwad Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express has emerged as the preferred choice for the passengers in the working age group with an impressive 62% of passengers falling in the age group of 25 to 59 years.

Recently, a survey was conducted with a small sample size to know the age group of passengers travelling in the prestigious Vande Bharat Express connecting Hubballi Dharwad with the IT Capital Bengaluru.

It is seen that about 20% of passengers belong to the age group of 18-24 years, 20% belong to 25-34 years and about 30% belong to the 35 to 49 age group, showing the increasing popularity of the train.

Vande Bharat Express is the fastest train between Bengaluru and Hubballi Dharwad. The train takes 5 hours to cover the distance, about 1 and a half hours faster than the other trains.

The train is equipped with 360-degree revolving seats, touch-based reading lights for each seat, Automatic doors, Mobile charging sockets, and onboard Wi-Fi for infotainment.

The train is also equipped with a GPS-based Audio-visual passenger information system, reclining ergonomic seats for superior ride quality and many other amenities.

Vande Bharat Express (Train 20661) departs KSR Bengaluru (SBC) at 5:45 AM and reaches Dharwad at 12:10 PM. En route, the train stops at Yeshwantpur at 5:55 AM, Davanagere at 9:15 AM, and Hubballi at 11:00 AM.

In the return direction, Train 20662 leaves Dharwad at 1:15 PM and reaches KSR Bengaluru at 7:45 PM. En route, the train stops at Hubballi (1:35 PM), Davanagere (3:38 PM), and Yeshwantpur (6:58 PM).

Train number 20661/20662 Bengaluru Dharwad Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express operates all days except Tuesday. The train comprises 8 coaches including 7 Chair Car and 1 Executive Chair Car coach.

  1. Most people want to go to Bangalore for business and finish there work and come back same day. If we can have another Vande bharth train or if we can reverse the timing for current train i.e the train starts from DWD early morning and reaches Bangalore early this will help many business and working class. so that people reach Bangalore early and finish there work/ business in Bangalore.

  2. The train should leave from Hubli-Dharwad in the morning.
    The time between Hubli Bengaluru should be cut down to 4 hours.
