Bangalore to Hubli flight diverted to Mangalore

An IndiGo flight from Bangalore to Hubli was diverted and landed at Mangalore Airport due to bad weather conditions at Hubballi Airport. Chennai to Hubli flight was also delayed due to the low-lying clouds at Hubballi Airport.

6E 7227 took off from Bengaluru Airport at 6:13 AM, it was supposed to land at Hubballi Airport at around 7:30 AM. The aircraft entered Hubballi airspace around 7:05 AM, but couldn’t land due to bad weather conditions.

The aircraft did go-around once and hovered around the airport for half an hour expecting the weather to improve. Around 7:30 AM, the flight was diverted towards Mangalore where it landed safely at 8:15 AM. The flight flew back to Hubballi and landed at Hubballi around 9:55 AM.

Earlier, Chennai to Hubli flight was also delayed due to bad weather conditions at Hubballi Airport. The flight 6E-7986 took off from Chennai Airport at 6:08 AM and it was supposed to land at Hubballi Airport around 8:10 AM.

VT-IYY entered Hubballi’s airspace around 7:30 AM and hovered around the airport for about 45 minutes. Finally, the weather improved around 8:15 AM and the flight landed safely at Hubballi Airport at 8:27 AM.
