Arvind Srivastava takes charge as General Manager (GM) of SWR

Arvind Srivastava took charge as the new General Manager (GM) of the South Western Railway (SWR) Zone. He took the power from Shri Sanjeev Kishore earlier today.

Born on February 25, 1965, Srivastava earned his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Varanasi. He began working for the Railway Department on March 6, 1989.

He has served in various departments including Eastern Railway, Kolkata; Diesel Locomotive Works, Varanasi; Railway Board, New Delhi; Rail Wheel Factory, Bangalore and South Eastern Railway, Kolkata.

Arvind Srivastava is a 1987 batch Indian Railway Stores Service (IRSS) officer, he has been associated with Indian Railways for three and a half decades.

He has served as Chief Material Manager, Stores (Vigilance) and Executive Director at Rail Coach Factory, Bengaluru and Chief Intelligence Officer at Railway Board, New Delhi.

Before taking power as the GM of SWR, he served as the Chief Material Manager of South Eastern Railway in Kolkata. He received advanced management training at INSEAD, Singapore and ICLIF, Malaysia.

He is trained at the International Anti-Corruption Academy, Luxembourg, Austria and Administrative Staff College, Hyderabad, India in World Bank Anti-Corruption Measures on Procurement Programs.

Arvind Srivastava succeeds Mr. Sanjeev Kishore as the new General Manager (GM) of South Western Railway (SWR). Mr. Sanjeev Kishore retired on February 29, 2024.
