4 lane Concrete road to connect Karwar Road with Gokul Road

A 4 laned Concrete road will connect Karwar Road with the Gokul Road soon. Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), Government of India has called a Tender to execute the same.

4.2km stretch in between Karwar Road and Gokul Road will be connected via Anand Nagar and Manjunath Nagar. The total cost of the project is expected to be ₹ 35.71 Crores.

Both the roads experience high traffic congestion, and the road connecting them is a 2 lane road creating traffic bottlenecks across the stretch.

The tender was already floated a few times before the fresh bid. However, it failed to attract any potential bidders. Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has again called the Tender for the 4th time.

The citizens were requesting the authorities to widen the road as it connects two important areas of the Hubballi city. The concerned authorities had assured to take up the works as soon as possible.

The 4 laned Concrete road will be built as per standard including Retro-reflectorized Cautionary, Mandatory, and informatory signs. The footpath will be built using precast tiles of size 300x300mm.

Bid submission has already started from 16th February 2022. The bids can be submitted until 4 PM of 16th March 2022. The bids will be opened on 17th March.
