DGCA has released City-Pair-wise Air Traffic Statistics for the month of January-2021. According to the data released, a total of 22,320 passengers traveled from Hubballi Airport and around 3.27 Tonnes of Cargo was lifted from Hubballi Airport.
Bengaluru sector contributed the highest number of passengers from HBX (4,480 passengers arrived and 4,469 passengers departed) followed by Mumbai (2,178 passengers arrived and 1,951 passengers departed). 1,237 passengers traveled in the Chennai-Hubballi sector and 1,533 passengers traveled in the Hubballi-Chennai flight.
Ahmedabad sector had 1,132 arriving passengers and 901 departing passengers. Hindon (Delhi) sector had 766 arriving passengers and 763 departing passengers from HBX. Tirupati sector saw 440 arriving passengers and 404 departing passengers.
Bengaluru sector contributed the highest Cargo movement (1.24 Tonnes out of 3.27 Tonnes) followed by the Mumbai sector (1 Tonne out of 3.27 Tonnes). Recently, Hubballi Airport commenced Cargo services from the existing terminal. North Karnataka’s first dedicated Cargo terminal is likely to be operationalized by the first week of May.
