South Western Railway is currently running 297 Special Trains to facilitate travelers. All Express trains which are operational in SWR have achieved the highest ever Punctuality i.e. 100 % on 11.04.2021. All Express trains of SWR ran on punctual time and none of the trains lost punctuality.
South Western Railway is running 297 Trains at present. The break up of trains is as given below.
- SWR Special Trains – 86.
- Other Zone Express Trains – 80.
- SWR Festival Special Trains – 29.
- Other Railway Festival Special Trains – 22.
- Clone Trains – 04.
- DEMU / MEMU Special Trains – 44.
- Passenger Special Trains -12.
- KSRTC Protest Specials – 20.
The achievement has been possible due to close coordination between all the departments of SWR. Shri Gajanan Mallya General Manager, SWR has congratulated the Divisional Teams headed by DRM Hubballi Shri Aravind Malkhede, DRM Mysuru Shri Rahul Agarwal, and DRM Bengaluru Shri Ashok Kumar Verma & SWR Operations Department led by Shri Hari Shankar Verma, Principal Chief Operations Manager at the Zonal Level, for their combined effort and efficiency.
