Vijayapura Mangalore train via Hubballi to be extended to Mangalore Central

Palakkad division of Southern Railway (SR) has accorded the Green signal for the extension of Train number 07377 Vijayapura Mangalore Junction Express via Hubballi to Mangalore Central (MAQ).

Extension of the train to Mangalore Central was a long pending demand from the citizens of Mangalore. Southern Railway had not agreed to the extension due to platform constraints at Mangalore Central.

Recently, Southern Railway has added two additional platforms at Mangalore Central Railway Station taking the total number of platforms to 5. It enabled them to extend the train to MAQ.

Train number 07377 Vijayapura to Mangalore Express train departs Vijayapura Railway Station at 6:35 PM and reaches Hubballi Railway Station at 11:55 PM.

Towards its onward journey, The train departs Hubballi Railway Station at 12:05 AM and reaches Mangalore Junction Railway Station around 12:30 PM on the next day.

En route, the train stops at Basavana Bagewadi Road, Almatti, Bagalkot, Guledagudda Road, Badami, Hole Alur, Mallapur, Gadag, Hubballi, Haveri, Byadgi, Ranebennur.

Harihar, Davanagere, Chikjajur, Birur, Kadur, Arsikere, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabaka Puttur, Bantwala and terminates at Mangalore Junction (MAJN).

In the return direction, Train number 07378 Mangalore to Vijayapura Express train departs Mangalore Junction Railway Station at 2:50 PM and reaches Hubballi Railway Station at 3:20 AM on the next day.

Towards its onward journey, The train departs Hubballi Railway Station at 3:30 AM and reaches Vijayapura Railway Station around 9:35 AM on the same day.
