Soon, the residents of Vidyanagar, Shirur Park, Lingaraj Nagar, and surrounding areas will get a convenient connecting road to the Hubbali Airport.
A shorter connecting road from the mentioned localities to the Gokul Road via Kumar Park, and Radha Krishna Nagar already exists. But the road is not in good condition.
To ease the commute to the Airport, Karnataka Neeravari Nigama Limited (KNNL) has called tenders for the work of constructing the Concrete road along the route.
As per the tenders, A new concrete road will be constructed from Airport Main Road (Gokul Road) to Kumar Park via Radhakrishna Nagar at a cost of ₹1.8 Crores.
The construction of the new road is expected to be completed within 6 months. The 6-month timeframe includes the Monsoon season period.
Tender Sure road connects Vidyanagar, Shirur Park, and surrounding areas to the Tolanakere. From there, HDSCL has constructed a Smart road till Kumar Park.
Once the construction of the new concrete road gets completed, people of Vidyanagar, Shirur Park, and surrounding areas will be able to reach the Airport faster.
