Swami Vivekananda statue to be unveiled tomorrow

Union minister and Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi will unveil the bronze statue of Swami Vivekananda installed at the entrance of Shri Siddharooda Swamiji, Hubballi Jn. The statue is 10.5ft in height with decorated Mantapa will be unveiled tomorrow at 10 AM.

Shri Vijayananda Saraswati Swamiji of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashrama, Dharwad said ‘Swami Vivekananda did all India tour from 1886 to 1892. The statue is being installed to commemorate his visit to Hubballi Dharwad on the way to Bengaluru from Goa.

At the same time, A book shop will also be opened at the premises of SSS Hubballi Jn. SWR has permitted to install similar statues in Dharwad, Gadag, Vijayapura, and Tumakuru Railway Stations, he added.

Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi will unveil the statue in the presence of Swami Jitakamanandaji (Ramakrishna Ashram Mangalore), Swami Tatvaroopananda (Ramakrishna Ashrama Bengaluru), Swami Nirbhayananda (Ramakrishna Ashrama, Gadag) along with SWR GM Shri Ajay Singh.
