Star Air flight from Hubballi to Bengaluru to land in Terminal 2

Star Air has become the first airline to start commercial operations from Terminal 2 (T2) of the Kempegowda International Airport at Bengaluru.

The terminal 2 of the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru was inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on November 11th, 2022.

However, the commercial operations are starting from today. Star Air flight to Kalaburagi (S5 117) became the first flight to take off from the T2 of Kempegowda International Airport.

Also, Star Air has completely shifted its operations from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 of the Bengaluru Airport. Starting today, all the flights of Star Air to/from Bengaluru will operate from the T2.

As far as Hubballi is concerned, Star Air flight S5 101 leaves T2, Bengaluru at 10:05 AM and reaches Hubballi at 11:05 AM. In the return direction, flight S5 102 leaves Hubballi at 7:25 PM and reaches T2, Bengaluru at 8:25 PM.

Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru has started Complimentary Shuttle Services at a regular frequency to provide transfers between the two terminals.

At T1, complimentary shuttle services are available from inner lane at the Departures Zone next to the Relay outlet. At T2, complimentary shuttle services are available from the inner lane at pick-up points P16/P17 at the Arrivals Zone.

Terminal 2 of Kempegowda International Airport at Bengaluru is built at a cost of ₹5,000 crores. With a built-up area of 255,000 sq.m T2 will help to augment the capacity of the airport by an additional 25 million passengers per annum.

There will be a phased transition of airlines that will operate their flights from T2. Over the next few months, additional domestic airlines will move into T2.
