South Western Railway to run Hubballi Ahmedabad special train

South Western Railway (SWR) has decided to run Hubballi Ahmedabad Special Express train on March 24, 2024 (Train number 07311). Details are as follows.

Train number 07311 Hubballi Ahmedabad special train departs Hubballi Railway Station at 7:30 PM on March 24 and reaches Ahmedabad junction at 7:20 PM on the next day.

En route, the train stops at Dharwad, Londa, Belagavi, Ghataprabha, Miraj, Sangli, Satara, Pune, Lonavala, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Boisar, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Anand and terminates at Ahmedabad.

The distance between Hubballi and Ahmedabad through Railways is around 1184km. The train 07311 covers the distance in 23 hours and 50 minutes with an average speed of 50km/hr.

As of now, only a single trip on March 24 has been announced by South Western Railway (SWR). As it is a one-way train, most likely there will be a rake transfer between SWR and Western Railway (WR).

All the trains between Hubballi and Ahmedabad run with huge waiting lists. Many associations have been demanding a dedicated train between the two cities.

Also, IndiGo has stopped the direct flight connecting two commercial hubs of Karnataka and Gujarat. The move is hugely affecting the businessman of the region.
