North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) will start operating buses from today. As part of preparations, the buses were cleaned and sanitized yesterday before hitting the roads.
NWKRTC has said that it will allow only vaccinated staff to operate buses in order to reduce health complications. Over 92% of the staff in NWKRTC have received at least one dose of Vaccination. Tue buses will start operating from Hosur and Gokul Road bus terminals.
The bus operations were stopped owing to a statewide lockdown announced by the Karnataka Government. As per the guidelines, buses will be permitted to operate with 50% of capacity and no travel by standing will be allowed.
HDBRTS will also start operating Chigari buses from today. As of now, it is not clear whether or not Bendre buses will be allowed to operate. “We are back on service! Come travel safely with Chigari” said HDBRTS in a tweet here.
