The Eighth Edition of the Karnataka Premier League (KPL), modeled after the famous Indian Premier League (IPL) will be held from 15th August 2022 to 31st August 2022.
Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has decided to conduct the tournament in a new format. The name KPL is likely to be shelved.
KSCA will to conduct the matches in Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Hubballi. All the matches will be broadcasted live on a leading sports channel.
KSCA has invited Expression of Interest (EoI) from reputed corporates for Team Sponsorship with Naming rights for the Six teams participating from 6 cities of Karnataka.
The 6 cities that will have an individual team are as follows. 1) Bengaluru City, 2) Hubballi Dharwad, 3) Mysuru, 4) Mangalore, 5) Shivamogga, and 6) Raichur.
