The Indian Institute of Technology, Dharwad (IIT Dharwad) campus will be inaugurated by end of February or March, informed Union Minister and Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi yesterday.
‘The construction of the campus is going on at a brisk pace and is likely to be completed by end of February or March. Then PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate it’ he added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone for the permanent campus of both IIIT-Dharwad and IIT-Dharwad simultaneously at a function in Hubballi on 10th February 2019.
IIT, Dharwad was formally inaugurated on 28th August 2016 at a temporary campus located at the Water and Land Management Institute (Walmi) campus near the High court bench of Dharwad.

The permanent campus of Indian Institute of Technology, Dharwad is coming up at a sprawling 470.2 acres of land near Chikkamalligawad Village about 3.5 km away from the temporary campus.
