To facilitate the construction of the Rani Chennamma Flyover work near Old bus stand, HDBRTS has shifted the BRTS Bus station opposite Hubli Old bus stand to Basava Vana.
The temporary BRTS bus stand near Basava Vana has been made operational from 6 AM today. Passengers are requested to note the changes, according to a release from HDBRTS.
Rani Chennamma Circle flyover, one of the important projects of Hubballi city is making constant progress. Construction of the flyover has now started near Old bus stand.
Construction of the Ramp from Hosur towards Old bus stand has started near Vani Vilas Circle and the Swimming pool complex. Excavation has started near the Eureka towers.
Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways laid the Foundation stone for the Construction of the flyover virtually around a year back (15th January 2021).
Central Government had approved the construction of an Elevated Corridor/Flyover at Rani Chennamma Circle of Hubballi at a cost of ₹298 Crores.
The Elevated Corridor/Flyover of 3.6km will have all Safety provisions like Crash barriers, Lighting, Signboards, and Markings will be implemented to ease traffic congestion.

Hubballi Dharwad Bus Rapid Transit System (HDBRTS) is a rapid transport system built to serve the twin cities of Hubballi Dharwad. It was officially inaugurated by Vice President of India Shri M.Venkaiah Naidu on 2nd February 2020.
