Keeping in mind the safety of Passengers, South Western Railway has installed a baggage scanner at Shri Siddharooda Swamiji, Hubballi Railway Station.
X-Ray Baggage Scanner worth ₹ 20 Lakhs has already been installed and put into use. SSS Hubballi Jn is the first railway station in the Hubballi division to get such a facility.
SWR will soon install X-Ray baggage scanners at Belagavi, Vijayapura, and Vasco Da Gama stations. Among others in the state, Bengaluru (SBC), Yeshwantapura, and Mysuru already have baggage scanning facilities.
