Hubballi girl secures 1st rank 2nd PU exams

Vidyalakshmi A, a student of Vidyaniketan PU college in Hubballi has secured First rank in 2nd PUC exam in Karnataka by obtaining 598 marks out of 600 in the Science stream.

Another student, Ravina Lamani of KE Board PU College of Dharwad has bagged 2nd rank in the state by securing 595 marks out of 600 in the Arts stream.

Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) released the results of the Pre-University Course (PUC 2nd) yesterday i.e. 10th of April 2024.

Dharwad district has witnessed unsatisfactory performance in the examination. But, the district has improved its ranking from 27th rank in 2023 to 23rd rank in 2024 by competing with 32 districts.

The district has achieved a passing percentage of 80.70% in 2024. The district has improved its passing percentage compared to last year which was at 73.54%.

27,428 students had appeared for the 2nd PUC examination in the Dharwad district. Among them, 21562 students have passed the 2nd PUC examination.

Dakshina Kannada district secured 1st place in the state with a passing percentage of 97.37%. Gadag district recorded the lease passing percentage in the state with 72.86%.

Only 5 districts have managed to cross a passing percentage of 90%. They are as follows: Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Vijayapura, Uttara Kannada and Kodagu.

Karnataka has achieved a passing percentage of 84.59% in March 2024. The state has improved its passing percentage compared to the last year which was at 78.97%.
