Hubballi Airport Terminal all set to get Bigger and Better

Dream of getting a full-fledged Modern Airport in North Karnataka is finally inching toward reality as the Terminal of Hubballi Airport will be transformed into a Modern Terminal in 2 years.

Union Minister and Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi shared the news through his Social media handles. A tweet by him read “I am thankful to PM Narendra Modi & Civil Aviation Minister JM Scindia for approving ₹273 Crores for the Expansion of Hubli Airport Terminal”.

Airport Authority of India (AAI) has accorded the administrative approval for the expansion of the Hubballi Airport terminal project to be executed at a cost of ₹273 Crores.

The existing terminal building of Hubballi Airport will be expanded to 20,000 sq.mt. The expanded terminal will be able to handle 1400 peak-hour passengers (700 Arrivals + 700 Departures).

The terminal will be spread across 2 levels (Ground floor and First floor) with all modern facilities. The expansion is likely to enhance the user experience of the passengers travelling to/from Hubballi Airport.

The expanded terminal will also have 3 Aerobridges making it the first airport in North Karnataka to have Aerobridges. The expansion may facilitate International flights in the coming days.
