Hubballi Airport has managed to retain the 3rd Busiest Airport tag in Karnataka during the Financial Year of 2023-24 as far as the number of passengers is concerned. Details are as follows.
A total of 3,58,835 passengers travelled from Hubballi Airport during the FY 2023-24 (April 2023 to March 2024). 3,22,701 passengers had used Hubballi Airport in FY 2022-23.
Bengaluru and Mangalore International Airports have managed to bag 1st and 2nd place respectively. Belagavi, Mysuru and Kalaburagi airports got 4th, 5th and 6th place respectively.
Hubballi Airport has managed the retain the 3rd busiest airport tag despite the cancellation of a few sectors and reduction in the frequency of a few flights from Hubballi.
Hubballi Airport also handled 160 MT Cargo in FY 2023-24 making it the third highest in Karnataka after Bengaluru (4,39,495 MT) and Mangalore (2175 MT) airports.
Belagavi Airport got 4th place by handling 16 MT of Cargo. No significant cargo movement was observed from Mysuru, Kalaburagi, Shivamogga and Bidar airports.
3,75,28,533 passengers including 46,67,631 International passengers travelled from Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru in the FY 2023-24.
20,30,387 passengers including 5,20,498 International passengers travelled from the Mangalore International Airport in the Financial year of 2023-24.

3,12,447; 1,27,994; 54,862; 43,140; 39,040 and 16,507 passengers travelled from Belagavi, Mysuru, Kalaburagi, Vijayanagar (Bellary), Shivamogga and Bidar Airports respectively.
