Government of Karnataka in association with the Tourism department, Kannada and Culture department has organized three days Hampi Utsav 2023 starting from January 27 (today).
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will inaugurate the Hampi Utsav 2023 today at 6 PM. The inauguration ceremony has been organized at Gayatri Peetha stage located at MP Prakash Nagar, Hosapete.
As part of the event, various Cultural events, Art exhibitions, Sports and Adventure activities have been arranged. Gayatri Peetha stage at MP Prakash Nagar will be the main stage.
Apart from the main stage, other events will be organized at Yeduru Basavanna stage, Virupaksha temple stage, and Sasivekalu Ganesha stage informed Vijayanagara DC T Venkatesh.
Sound and Light Show has been organized at Anelaya temple premises from January 26th to February 2nd (7 PM to 10 PM) to showcase the Vijayanagara empire.
‘Hampi by Sky‘ has been organised to see the glory of Hampi from the sky till 30th January. The 6-7 minute Helicopter ride showcases all the important places of Hampi. Location: Hotel Mayura Bhuvaneshwari.
Musical Nights by Celebrities: Various Sandalwood and Bollywood musicians will perform to increase the glaze of Hampi Utsav 2023. The details are as follows.
January 27: Arjun Janya and team will perform at the Gayatri Peetha stage from 8 PM to 10 PM (after the inauguration ceremony). Ankit Tiwari will perform from 10:30 PM to 12:30 AM.
January 28: Renowned singer from Sandalwood, Vijay Prakash will perform from 8:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Later, renowned Bollywood singer Armaan Malik will perform with his troupe.
January 29: Kannada singer Ananya Bhat will perform from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Raghu Dixit will perform from 8:15 PM to 9:45 PM. Kailash Kher team will perform from 10:15 PM to 12:00 AM.
Free bus service: NEKRTC has arranged 120 buses to ferry passengers from the Parking place to the event venues. The buses will run at a frequency of 5 min and the service will be provided free of cost.
The district administration has made Kaddirampura and Kamalapura roads one-way to facilitate smooth movement of traffic. Parking has been arranged for 6,000 vehicles.
Other programs planned: Poetry recital, Painting and Sculpture camp, Sand Art, Fruit and Flowers Exhibition, Fish fair, Food Mela, Handicrafts of Agriculture field, Seminars.
Sound and Light show, Water sports, Folklore songs, Games for the disabled, Industry and Book exhibition, Rural sports, Adventure activities like Rock climbing, etc.
A team of 7 DySP, 33 Inspectors, 70 Sub-inspectors, 191 ASI, 1074 Head constables, 600 Home guards, 4 KSRP, 113 Women Police, and 1 DAR contingent have been arranged to provide security to the event.
