Ekvi Air to be Hubballi Airport’s first FTO

Mumbai-based Ekvi Air has won the bid to establish Flying Training Organization (FTO) in Hubballi Airport. Soon, A Pilot training institute will soon be established in Hubballi.

Hubballi Airport will also get another Flying Training Organization. As per the bid document of AAI, Hubballi will get 2 FTO’s with an approximate per plot size of 5000sq.m.

However, only one bid has been received by the Airports Authority of India to establish Flying Training Organization at Hubballi Airport. More details are awaited on the second FTO.

Ekvi Air has also won bids to establish Flying Training Organization at Salem Airport in Tamilnadu, Bhavnagar Airport in Gujarat, and Kadapa Airport in Andhra Pradesh.

Establishment of Flying Training Organizations (FTO) in various airports is an initiative of AAI to make India a Global Flying Training Hub in the aviation industry.

Airport Authority of India (AAI) had invited bids to establish Flying Training Organization (FTO) at select airports in the country on 22nd February 2022.

Similar Flying Training Organizations will also be established in Coochbehar, Deoghar, Jharsuguda, Tezu, Kishangarh, Meerut, Kadapa, Bhavnagar, and Salem Airports
