Metro Rail will be constructed to ensure Comfortable, Affordable, Safe, and reliable last-mile connectivity. As of now, only Bengaluru has Metro rail services in Karnataka.
Metro rail is aimed at providing a Safe, Quick, Reliable and Comfortable public transportation system. Besides, Metro rail significantly contributes to the reduction of Carbon emissions.
There are also plans to launch a Universal travel card called ‘My City My Card’ to facilitate travel across all modes of Public transportation in Bengaluru.
A similar Travel card needs to be launched in Hubballi Dharwad as well. The travel card can be used to travel in BRTS buses as well as City buses in Hubballi Dharwad.
Ahead of the Karnataka MLA Elections, BJP released its manifesto earlier today. JP Nadda, the BJP National President released it in the presence of state and national BJP leaders.
The manifesto also promises to make Kittur Karnataka the ‘Logistics and Warehousing Hub’ by leveraging connectivity towards Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, and other metropolitan cities.
To improve regional connectivity, A greenfield airport will be established in Bagalkot leveraging the Udan scheme under the Mission Connect Karnataka scheme.
