Birthday wishes to Veerendra Heggade by JSS school Dharwad students enters World Record

Birthday wishes to Dr. Veerendra Heggade, by the students of the JSS School Dharwad has scripted a new World Record at Dharwad yesterday.

200 students of JSS Sri Manjunatheshwara Central School, Dharwad performed the ‘Happy birthday’ song on guitar in unison which helped to set a New World Record.

The attempt was organized to celebrate the 74th birthday of Dr. Veerendra Heggade, a philanthropist and Member of Parliament, Rajyasabha from Karnataka.

It was under the mentorship of the Secretary of JSS, Dr. Ajith Prasad, Principal Smt Sadhana S, and under the tutelage of Vishal Singh, the director of the Royal International School of Music.

Responding to the record, Shri Dr. Veerendra Hegade said that “A valued gift! It is a delight that it has been entered into the #WorldRecordsIndia book.”

D. Veerendra Heggade (born November 25, 1948) is an Indian philanthropist and the hereditary administrator (Dharmadhikari) of the Dharmasthala Temple.

He was accorded with Padma Vibhushan Award in 2015 for Social Work and Padma Bhushan Award in 2000 for Social Work and Communal Harmony (India’s third-highest civilian award).

He has received multiple awards for his numerous contributions. He was awarded the Karnataka Ratna award for the year 2009, the highest civilian award in Karnataka.

Dr. Heggade’s 48 years of path-breaking contribution to Social, Economical and Cultural development of the Society, is what truly defines his unyielding service to Nation.
