Bhoomi Pooja for Jayadeva Hospital at Hubballi in January

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced that the Bhoomi Pooja (Foundation stone laying) ceremony for the construction of Jayadeva Hospital at Hubballi will be performed in January 2023.

The CM made the announcement about it during the inauguration of Namma clinics at Bairidevarakoppa, Hubballi yesterday.

The government has identified 9.36 acres of land near the Leprosy Hospital at Anand Nagar in Hubballi. The 350-bed hospital will be built at a cost of ₹250 Crores.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai had announced Jayadeva Hospital of Cardiovascular Sciences to Hubballi during the Karnataka Budget session for the year 2022-23.

The Engineering wing of the Health and Family Welfare department has called tenders for the construction of the Regional center Jayadeva Hospital and Research Organization at Hubballi.

Jayadeva Hospital already has 1150 bed facility in Bengaluru. The hospital also has its presence in Kalaburgi and Mysuru with a bed capacity of 350 and 400 respectively.

Until now, the Northwest part of Karnataka was deprived of good cardiovascular healthcare facilities. The Hubballi unit of Jayadeva Hospital is likely to fill the gap.

The hospital is likely to cater to many districts of North Karnataka including Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Belagavi, Uttara Kannada, Vijayapura, and Bagalkot.

Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Hospital is a government-run institute exclusively for Cardiac care providing treatment at an affordable cost.

  1. Finally some development is taking place in Hubballi- Dharwad. But in terms of industrial front still it is lagging ? And also fast faced improvement is required in road infrastructure.
