President of India Droupadi Murmu is likely to inaugurate the new campus of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Dharwad (IIIT Dharwad) on September 26.
Droupadi Murmu will be visiting Hubballi on September 26. She will be receiving Civic honors from Hubballi Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC).
President Murmu will arrive in Hubballi around 11 am after inaugurating Dasara in Mysuru. She will then head to Gymkhana ground to receive Civic honors. Then she is likely to visit Dharwad to inaugurate IIIT.
The permanent campus of IIIT Dharwad is located at Itigatti Road near Sattur Colony, Dharwad. The new campus is spread across 60 acres, built with modern designs and contemporary infrastructure.
Established in 2015, the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) is an institute of national importance. IIIT, Dharwad is one of 25 IIITs in India.
IIIT Dharwad offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) courses in 3 disciplines i.e Computer Science and Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Electronics and Communication Engineering.
IIIT, Dharwad is established under Public Private Partnership (PPP) between the Ministry of Education: GoI, the Government of Karnataka, and Keonics (Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Limited).
