Land required for Widening of Hubballi Dharwad Bypass is readily available

90% of the land required for the widening of Hubballi Dharwad Bypass is readily available, said Union Minister and Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi at Hubballi yesterday.

Pralhad Joshi chaired a meeting with NHAI officials, Railway officers, KIADB officials, Dharwad DC, and HESCOM officials to discuss the progress of the Hubballi Dharwad Bypass.

Pralhad Joshi has directed the company that got the tender for widening Hubballi Dharwad bypass to start the work immediately without waiting for the completion of the land acquisition.

Pralhad Joshi has instructed the officials to coordinate with NHAI for shifting of water pipelines, shifting of HESCOM electric poles, and the construction of railway underpasses.

He has also instructed Dharwad Forest Department to provide NOC to widen Hubballi Dharwad Bypass at the earliest.

Joshi has instructed DC Dharwad to follow up on the same to get the necessary NOCs at the earliest. The meeting was held at Hubballi’s Travellers Bungalow.

Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari had laid the foundation stone for the much-awaited Widening of Hubli Dharwad bypass project earlier this year.

Widening of the Hubli Dharwad bypass was a long pending demand from the Hubballi Dharwad citizens. The 31.6km stretch of the road will be widened to a 6-lane expressway including 4 lane service road.

  1. Kindly start the 6 lane work immediately
    After the foundation Stone laid by our minister Shri Nitin G, still the work has not started.. We have seen so many people met with accident and lost they life even after the foundation stone was laid..
