If everything goes well, then Koppikar Road will be converted into a Smart Concrete Road soon. Hubballi Dharwad Smart City Limited (HDSCL) has taken up the task of converting it into a Smart Road.
Koppikar Road is one of the major shopping destinations of Hubballi City. Citizens and Businessmen were demanding to improve the conditions of the road for a long time. Finally, HDSCL has initiated the process and Underground Drainage works have already started this week.
HDSCL is developing Koppikar Road under Package 2 of the Smart Street Scapes and Junction Improvements project. As per the plan Koppikar Road alongside Coen Road, Station Road, Victoria Road, Broadway, etc will have Underground ducts for Utility pipelines and Electric Cables, Underground Drainage System, Wide Footpaths, and LED Streetlights.
Many of the Smart City Projects under HDSCL are progressing well and are expected to be completed soon. Recently, Hubli-Dharwad Central MLA Shri Jagadish Shettar has performed Bhoomi Pooja to convert Koppikar Road into a Smart Concrete Road. He was joined by Hubballi-Dharwad East MLA Shri Prasad Abbayya.
