The Airport Authority of India has released Air traffic statistics for the month of May-2022. As per the reports; 24,628 passengers used Hubballi Airport during the month of May-2022.
Hubballi Airport registered an increase of 26.21% increase in the number of passengers compared to the last month. 19,512 passengers had used Hubballi Airport in the month of April-2022.
The airport registered 479 flight movements in the month of May-2022. Hubballi handled 431 flights during April-2022. Thereby, achieving an increase of 11.13% in flight movements.
The airport handled 5MT of Cargo in the month of May-2022. The airport handled 6MT of Cargo during April-2022. A decrease of 16% has been observed as far as Cargo is concerned.
During the same month last year (May-2021), HBX handled 202 flight movements and 4,474 passengers. The airport had handled 3MT of Cargo during the same month.
IndiGo CarGo, the Cargo division of India’s largest Airline IndiGo has opened its counter at the Outbound Cargo area of the HBX’s Cargo terminal recently.
Passengers from Hubballi are requesting resumption of the Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Goa sectors and adding a few other potential routes like Delhi, Pune, Jaipur, and Jodhpur.
