Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has released City-Pair wise Air Traffic Statistics of Hubballi Airport for the month of May-2022.
According to the data released, a total of 24,146 passengers traveled from Hubballi Airport and around 2.9 Tonnes of Cargo and 3 Tonnes of Mail was lifted from Hubballi Airport.
Bengaluru sector contributed the highest number of passengers from HBX. A total of 9,490 passengers used Hubballi Airport (4,606 passengers arrived and 4,884 passengers departed).
Bengaluru sector also contributed the highest cargo shipment from Hubballi Airport. A total of 4.0 Tonnes of Cargo was lifted including 2.5 Tonnes of Mail.
3,976 passengers travelled to and from Mumbai Airport (2,079 passengers arrived and 1,897 passengers departed). Mumbai sector recorded 0.6 tonnes of Cargo movement.
3,239 passengers travelled to and from Chennai (1,594 passengers arrived and 1,645 passengers departed). Chennai sector recorded 0.6 tonnes of Cargo including mail.
Hyderabad sector had 1,724 arriving passengers and 1,783 departing passengers including 0.6 tonnes of Cargo. Hindon (Delhi) sector had 822 arriving passengers and 836 departing passengers from HBX.
Mangalore sector saw 720 arriving passengers and 772 departing passengers including 0.2 tonnes of freight. Mysuru sector had 389 arriving passengers and 395 departing passengers from HBX.
Passengers from Hubballi are requesting resumption of Ahmedabad, Kochi and Goa sectors and adding few other potential sectors like Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, etc.
