Engineering wing of Health and Family Welfare department has called tenders for the construction of the Regional centre of Jayadeva Hospital and Research Organization at Hubballi.
The hospital will be constructed at a cost of Rs 191.50 Crores. Stipulated period of completion is 30 months including the Monsoon season.
The government has already identified 9.36 acres of land near Leprosy Hospital at Anand Nagar in Hubballi city. Bhoomi pooja for the same is likely to be performed soon.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai had announced Jayadeva Hospital of Cardiovascular Sciences to Hubballi during Karnataka Budget session for the year of 2022-23.
Jayadeva Hospital already has 1150 bed facility at Bengaluru. The hospital also has its presence in Kalaburgi and Mysuru with a bed capacity of 350 and 400 respectively.
Until now, North west part of Karnataka was deprived of good cardiovascular healthcare facilities. The Hubballi unit of Jayadeva Hospital is likely to fill the gap.
The hospital is likely to cater many districts of North Karnataka including Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Belagavi, Uttara Kannada, Vijayapura and Bagalkot. The capacity of the hospital is likely to be 350 beds.
The tenders can be submitted via e-procurement portal till 4 PM of 20th December 2022. The tender (Technical bids) will be opened at 4 PM on 22nd December 2022.
The tenderer has to submit a EMD (Earnest Money Deposit) of Rs 1.92 Crores. It is taken by the organization to ensure that only serious bidders participate in the tender.
