South Western Railway (SWR) has managed to complete the construction of an underpass (RUB) at Navalur of the Dharwad district in just 7 days.
The work of a Railway Under Bridge (RUB) in lieu of Level crossing Gate number 292 in between Hubballi and Dharwad has been completed at a rapid pace.
The work started on December 4th, 2022 was completed yesterday morning (December 11th 2022).
SWR used the Precast RCC boxes to construct the Road Under Bridge (RUB). Using Precast RCC boxes to construct RUB reduces block time and thereby has the least impact on train operations.
The Railway Under Bridge (RUB) enhances the safety of train operations as well as motorists using the road.
Union Minister and Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi had requested that the construction of the Railway Under Bridge to be completed soon in the interest of the public.
Pralhad Joshi lauded the efforts of South Western Railway officials, thanked Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and called it a mirror to the functioning of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
