SWR cancels Bengaluru to Hubballi train

South Western Railway (SWR) has decided to cancel KSR Bengaluru Hubballi KSR Bengaluru (Train number 07353/07354) Special Fare Express train due to poor occupancy.

DRM Hubballi posted the cancellation news through his Twitter account here. Train number 07353/07354 will be cancelled with effect from 16th July 2023.

SWR had launched One overnight train and one Day train between Bengaluru and Hubballi on March 20. The day train is being cancelled due to poor occupancy.

Bengaluru to Hubballi Daily Express (Train number 07354) leaves Bengaluru at 7:45 AM and reaches Hubballi at 2:30 PM. This train is acting as another Intercity train between the two cities.

In the return direction, Train number 07353 Hubballi Bengaluru Daily Express leaves Hubballi at 3:15 PM and reaches Bengaluru at 11:10 PM. The train is being operated on TOD (Train on Demand) basis.

The limited-stop express train used to stop at Yeshwantpur, Tumakuru, Arsikere, Birur, and Davanagere in between KSR Bengaluru and SSS Hubballi Railway Station.

Netizens on Twitter have suggested SWR to utilize the idle rake to run either Hubballi Mangaluru overnight train, Hubballi Madgaon Intercity Express, or Hubballi Kalaburagi Intercity train.

The train has a composition of 16 coaches including One 2-tier AC coach, Two 3-tier AC Coaches, 7 Sleeper coaches, 4 General section, and Two SLR coaches.

The train was scheduled to operate from 20th March 2023 till 27th July 2023. Primary maintenance of the train was at Hubballi, and Secondary maintenance was being done at Bengaluru.

  1. This train was never on time and the rates where High.So either was not adjusted and customer didn’t respond
