‘Start Infosys Hubli’ campaign aimed at operationalizing the Hubballi campus of Infosys is growing big day by day. The team is sending 10,000 postcards to CM Basavaraj Bommai.
Yesterday, Hubballi Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) Mayor Shri Iresh Anchatgeri extended his support to the postcard campaign launched by the ‘Start Infosys Hubli’ team members.
In a handwritten letter to CM Bommai, Mayor Iresh Anchatgeri requested the intervention of CM Basavaraj Bommai to operationalize the Hubballi campus of Infosys at the earliest.
In another development, the members of the Start Infosys Hubli team met the Executive Committee and the members of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce (KCCI), Hubli.
The members of KCCI, Hubli have fully agreed to support the campaign unconditionally and signed postcards to join the 10,000 postcard campaign to Karnataka CM.
President Shri Vinay Javali, Vice Presidents S B Saunshimath, Sandeep Bidasariya, B. S Satish, Hon. Secretary Praveen Agadi, Join Secretary Shankar Koliwad, committee member Ashoka Nilugal and others were present during the interaction.
The whole gathering unanimously supported the campaign. Shri Javali also agreed to appeal to the Honourable CM on behalf of KCCI to Start Infosys Hubli campus at the earliest.
The online petition to start the Hubballi campus of Infosys on change.org has received 5,817 signatures so far (and counting!). You can sign the petition by going through the link here.
If everything goes well, Phase 1 of Infosys SEZ is expected to employ around 1500 employees. The campus in its full capacity is expected to employ around 5000 techies in the IT/ITES sector.
