NWKRTC has decided to provide city bus services to the 3rd entry of the Shri Siddharooda Swamiji Hubballi Junction Railway Station located at Mantur Road.
Recently, SWR started originating/terminating a few trains from Platform Number 6 to 8 (which is accessible from the 3rd entry to the Hubballi Railway Station).
As the new entrance is quite far away from the Railway Station, people especially the senior citizens were finding it difficult to reach Station road to catch an Auto/Bus towards their destination.
Vishwa R Hiremath wrote in HubliCityEgroup that ‘Today I traveled by Tirupati Hubballi express, Train was stopped at Platform 6 which is around 1.5km from the main entrance.
‘There were many senior citizens, kids, and physically challenged but surprisingly there were no autos or any city bus facilities at the 3rd entrance’ he added.
Sunil Nalavade, Admin of HubliCityEgroup took the matter to Twitter and asked GM SWR, NWKRTC officials, and HDBRTS to look into it and resolve the matter.
NWKRTC MD Shri Bharath Selvan replied that ‘We will provide Bus services to the 3rd entrance according to the arrival of trains at the new entrance, most likely by today.
