There is some good news for all: KIMS, Hubballi is now vaccinating all aged 18+. Until now, only Frontline workers in the age bracket of 18 to 44 were eligible to get the vaccine. KIMS, Hubballi is administering both Covishield and Covaxin vaccines for people aged 18+.
Another good news is that registration on CoWIN is not mandatory to get the vaccine. People can walk-in to KIMS with their Aadhar card, register on-spot, and get the vaccine: everything within 30-45 minutes. However, a long queue was observed today to get the Covishield vaccine.
Dharwad district was vaccinating an average of 4 to 5 thousand beneficiaries per day. But, the number of people vaccinated on Monday (21st June) and Tuesday (22nd June) was 29,042 and 22,958 respectively. Information courtesy: CoWIN Portal.
