IndiGo to start Hubballi to Pune direct flight today

India’s largest airline, IndiGo will start Hubballi to Pune direct flight from today i.e February 5, 2023. Direct flight to Pune was a long pending demand from the citizens of Hubballi Dharwad.

As per the schedule, Hubballi to Pune flight (6E-7727) leaves Hubballi Airport (HBX) at 6:30 PM and reaches Pune Airport (PNQ) at 7:35 PM.

Pune to Hubballi flight (6E-7716) leaves Pune Airport (PNQ) at 8:00 PM and reaches Hubballi Airport at 9:10 PM. Bookings are open on IndiGo’s website.

IndiGo will deploy 78-seater ATR-72 aircraft for the same. The flight will operate with a frequency of 2 days per week (on Saturday and Sunday).

The frequency of the same flight will be increased based on the demand. The flight is likely to get good loads as it is the only flight connecting North Karnataka towards Pune.

Earlier, regional airline Star Air had won bids to operate HBX to PNQ direct flight under Udan-2 (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) scheme. But the airline didn’t start the flight.

Recently, Union Minister and Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi had informed that he’s in touch with airlines to start direct flights from Hubballi to Ahmedabad and Pune.

Hubballi Airport has recently managed to regain 3rd position as far as the number of passengers is concerned. The addition of Delhi flight helped Hubballi to increase the passenger count.

Hubballi Airport registered a whopping increase of 14.13% in December 2022 as far as the number of passengers (34,971) compared to the last month. 30,642 passengers used Hubballi Airport in November 2022.

Passengers from Hubballi are requesting the resumption of Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Goa flights and starting new flights to Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kolkata, etc.
