Hubballi ranks 28th in India Smart Cities Awards Contest (ISAC) 2022

Hubballi City has ranked 28th out of the 75 cities selected under the Smart Cities Mission. Hubballi has completed Stage 1 and has qualified for Stage 2 of the India Smart Cities Awards Contest (ISAC) 2022.

Seven cities from Karnataka have qualified for the second stage of India Smart Cities Awards Contest (ISAC) 2022. The position of various cities is as given below.

Tumakuru 10th Rank, Shivamogga 20th Rank, Hubballi 28th Rank, Belagavi 35th Rank, Davanagere 37th Rank, Bengaluru 48th Rank, and Mangaluru 49th Rank.

The India Smart Cities Awards Contest (ISAC) recognizes the exemplary work done by Cities, Projects, Innovations, and Partners in promoting ‘Smart’ development in cities.

The fourth edition of the ISAC was announced on 1st February 2022, through a Video conference. The award has a two-stage submission process.

The First stage or ‘Qualifying Stage’ involves an Overall assessment of the City’s Performance and the Second stage or ‘Proposal Stage’ requires Smart Cities to submit their nominations for Six award categories.

The 6 award categories are as follows: Project Award, Innovation Award, City Award, State/UT award, Leadership Award, and Partners Award. The results of State 1 evaluations have now been announced.

Stage 2 involves the Presentation of outcomes across 6 categories. The evaluation of the stage 2 presentation will be completed by July 15th. The results of the ISAC 2022 will be announced on 15th August 2022.

The Partners Award will be given to honour various collaborations of the Smart City Ecosystem, namely Industry Partners, Knowledge Partners, and Community-based Organizations for their contribution in Championing the cause of the Smart Cities Mission.
