Hubballi Airport has managed to bag the ‘Best Airport Award’ under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) in the ‘Wings India 2022’ event at Hyderabad yesterday.
Union minister of Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia presented the award to Hubballi APD Shri Pramod Kumar Thakre.

Airports Authority of India (AAI) posted the news on their official Twitter handle @AAI_Official. The tweet read ‘AAI is delighted to be recognized at the Wings India 2022 event.
Hubballi Airport was selected in the 2nd round of RCS-Udan scheme. Airlines like IndiGo, Star Air and Spicejet had bid for Hubballi. While IndiGo and Star Air are still continuing their service, Spicejet exited Hubballi for unknown reasons.
